MR. BLOUIN: Thank you very much. Comments from our listening panel? Questions?

MR. ACETA: I have a question for Mr. Andriessen.

You had mentioned problems that we need to pay attention to what's happening in eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, performance of the union. Was your point there about growing tariffs because of trade arrangements or more in terms of them starting to adopt the European regulatory model?

MR. ANDRIESSEN: Well, basically is several reasons. The main thing right now is primarily from a veterinary inspection system. Obviously, we've been out of the market for a little bit over ten years now, starting with inspections system then became a whole new industry.

We see the same things happening in (inaudible). We're afraid that this will extend itself into other European countries as well as Russia.

MR. ACETA: And to an extent is the impending, I'm told soon-to-be-completed U.S. veterinary equivalency agreement going to tackle some of those problems?

MR. ANDRIESSEN: That particular agreement, you know, they have ongoing negotiations for the past ten years. To my knowledge, developing beef and pork there are a total of about five to ten plants that are approved. So if total equivalency would be reachable, that would help, but it still requires approval of those plants that have no export for ten years. So that, again, could be a very lengthy process.

As long as we can avoid the time that's involved with the inspecting of these plants, we'll be okay. If not, that would -- then we all experience the same that we've had for the last 10, 15 years.

MR. BLOUIN: Well, I thank our panel for your words of wisdom and you're dismissed. Thank you. We will begin with our comments from the audience. We have ten people who have signed up. The first one happens to be a name I may have trouble pronouncing, Phil Hueneke. Are you here? Larry Green. Behind Larry will be Mark Uckert.
